Importing
We began importing sugar for two reasons. The first was
enquiries from UK companies who were unable to source
the packaging formats that they were after here in the
UK, and secondly the minimum order quantities requested by their UK suppliers were too large. We set out to resolve these needs knowing that there was a niche market just waiting to be served!

After vetting a number of European sugar manufacturers
we decided on a small number of companies to work with.
Apart from the extra business, they had between them, a
wide range of highly specialised sugar filling machinery,
that could offer creative packaging in a selection of
materials that could be produced in small quantities, that
posed no problem to produce. As a bonus, we were also offered eco-friendly paper wrapping that is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. This was seized upon by many of our eco-minded clients. We are currently supplying orders with packaging paper that is 100% free of any plastic.

Exporting
Word-of-mouth is widespread within the hospitality sector especially as many of the hotels operate internationally. Our service soon got noticed by companies around the globe who were also unable to source their sugar needs in their own country. We currently have clients in seventeen countries, made up of a very diverse range of commerce (apart from hotels) that now includes high-end Kitchen appliances company GAGGENAU in Australia to the International Watch Company in Switzerland, Art Galleries in New York, and a Mobile Coffee truck in Munich Germany for Ralph Lauren.

Delivering to countries outside of the UK.
The customs in your country will require information on
your company. For that reason, we shall require as much
information as possible, especially your tax or EORI
number. For the US we also require your US Internal
Revenue Number.

Apart from the freight costs, all import taxes, duties or
associated courier or customs clearance, administration
charges for all consignments shall be paid for by the
receiver, as set out by the tax rules relating to the
country importing the goods. We are unable to
correspond on your behalf with any customs or tax issues
with countries outside the UK.
